About us

The dental referral management system is operated by FDS Consultants, a consortium of dental and medical NHS consultants based in the North West of England who also provide referral management services to other parts of England and to Wales. The clinical team is supported by specialist administrators who ensure that the process of managing referrals is seamless.

All of our clinically qualified staff are registered with the General Dental Council and undertake regular continuing professional development. All clinical staff are on the appropriate GDC specialist list. For information on contacting the GDC please click here

Our mission statement

To deliver the safest, most effective and responsive dental referral management system across the UK. We are an innovative, pro-active and responsible service provider focused on improving patient experience whilst driving up the quality and outcomes of dental care. We believe that every patient is entitled to know how, where and when their care is being managed and by using our unique tracking system they are as individuals, supported to do so in an easy and accessible manner. We don’t sit still – we strive to improve and develop the service we offer to every patient and service user.

We are fully compliant and registered at the ISO 9001 standard for quality assessment. This demonstrates our continuing commitment to the quality of our processes and management.

DCB 0129 Compliance

We have been independently assessed against the national DCB 0129 standard and have appointed a Clinical Safety Officer to ensure that our service and applications operate safely.  You can learn more about our approach to clinical safety and the DCB 0129 standard here.
